X is for Xenomorph!

Xenomorph aka Alien. And growing up in the late 70's early 80's all the older kids would brag about the chest bursting scene from Alien. Man I could not wait to see this movie.

Finally one late night mom and dad where sleeping and this bad boy was on HBO. You know  HBO when it was really just a box that you had to flip the brown switch on. Well any way it was late it was dark I was young and this movie scared to poop out of me! Boy did I learn my lesson to listen to mom and dad. But yet I could not stop talking about it and the next time it was on my parents wanted to watch it. Guess what I watched it for a second time and many more after. What a great movie. What a great childhood.

Thanks Mom and Dad.

Don't for get to check out the other blogglers during the A to Z Challenge.

  1. I still have never seen this movie, or any of the Alien movies! I don't do scary very well. Glad you have good memories of it. My story "like" that is not so cool, but when eleven or so saw "The Blob" (yes I know!) and as you said, it scared the you know what out of me because all I could think of was, what if it got unfrozen? Sooo, that same night, I go down to my parents room and ask if I can sleep with them. My dad said I could sleep on the floor by their bed (they had a waterbed--don't ask!) which sat right on the floor. And my dad slept on his side with his arm hanging over the edge of the bed and held my hand all night long... didn't like the movie, but loved what my dad did. Just saw the Blob again recently and laughed at myself! And, thought it was cool that it was Steve (Steven) McQueen's first film! Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com
