Before writing Tron Steven Lisberger gave us a fun ride with one of my childhood hits Animalympics just like the title implies this delightful animated film that spoofs TV coverage of the Olympic Games in which all the competitors are species of animals from around the world hits DVD for the first time April 3rd thanks to Hen's Tooth Video.

Using the vocal talents of Billy Crystal, Gilda Radner, Harry Shearer and Michael Fremer, Animalympics skewers sports broadcasts – annoying commentators in particular – and traditional Olympic events from gymnastics and figure skating to platform diving and bobsledding. Journey to the four corners of the animal kingdom and experience all the joy and sorrow of athletic competition . . . the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat!

Looking forward to tracking this down although the $15 price tag may slow me down just a bit.

Prepare For The Ultimate Trip

The Evil Bong 420 Trailer is upon us!! And I have to say holy S#@t this looks good.

I have to say this looks pretty kick ass!

Polish your balls and head to the lanes. Rabbit has escaped the Evil Bong’s World of Weed, and has opened a topless bowling alley. It’s the Grand Opening and the balls are rolling, the boobs are bouncing and the weed is plentiful. When his old friends, Larnell and Sarah Leigh stop by to help him celebrate his wacky new business venture, things are finally looking up for Rabbit, right? Wrong! Evil Bong is hot on Rabbit’s trail. With the help of the murderous Gingerdead Man, they crash the most balls out party of the century. But Gingerdead Man has plans of his own when he learns that the secret to becoming a real man is getting his cookies off.

The Bong is BACK!! And so is everybody else, including Sarah Leigh (Robin Sydney), Larnell (John Patrick Jordan), Rabbit (Sonny Carl Davis), Velicity (Amy Paffrath), Hambo, Gingerdead Man, Ooga Booga and tons of insane surprise guests.

It’s the movie with its mind firmly in the gutter. EVIL BONG 420 has the biggest balls, boobs and bongs you’ll see all year.

But how is that possible, when the nearest ocean is a half-mile away?

Are you freaking kidding me! Talk about capitalizing on Sharknado and its star. This just looks bad enough for me to sit through. Lucio Fulci's The Beyond see's Blu

Glow In The Dark Cover Art
Grindhouse Releasing has announced that they will release on Blu-ray director Lucio Fulci's The Beyond (1981), starring Catriona MacColl, David Warbeck, Cinzia Monreale, and Veronica Lazar. The super-deluxe three-disc special edition Blu-ray will be available for purchase on February 10, 2015.                                                                                                                    A young woman from New York named Liza (Katherine MacColl) inherits a Louisiana motel that has been unoccupied for nearly 60 years. While restoring the old building, many of the workers meet mysterious and untimely deaths, each more ill-fated than the next. Furthermore, Liza is visited by a blind specter named Emily (Sarah Keller) who lectures from a 4,000-year-old book of collected prophecies that explains the motel is situated above one of seven portals to hell. As her sanity dwindles, Liza finds some much-needed stability in a local doctor named John McCabe (David Warbeck), who is determined to find a rational explanation for the recent state of affairs. Nevertheless, the protagonists are led through a maze of bizarre confrontations with beings beyond the realm of the living, and into an apocalyptic world of unknown horrors. The Beyondis at once the quintessential Lucio Fulci film and a staple in the overall Italian horror genre. The director's epic masterpiece is a blend of atmospheric surrealism and nightmarish visions (a grisly tarantula attack, flesh-melting acid spills, a softball-sized gun blast through the skull of a young zombified girl, and an eyeball impaling or two) that are definitely unsuitable for those with weak stomachs.

Plus the cover is reversible! I'll be covering this until it's release. I was lucky enough to be sitting next to Barbra Crampton and Stuart Gorden in a theater a few years back. I still remember her saying that she did not remember so much nudity.

Killjoy Goes to Hell Trailer!!

Oh Hell Yeah Full Moon Horror was not clowning around this week. They are giving us a look at the up coming killer clown movie Killjoy Goes to Hell.

Synopsis:
The demon clown Killjoy is on trial in Hell! Having failed in his last outing to claim his victim's soul, he must face the devil himself in Hell's courtroom and prove that he's evil and worthy of a demon. His only hope is the testimony of his last victim and a trial by combat. Killjoy's murderous minions Batty Boop, Punchy, and Freakshow plot a daring rescue attempt, but they have nosy detectives, renegade clowns, and a whole mess of demons in their way. If they fail, Killjoy is damned to oblivion, never to return!

I'm a big fan of this series with the 3rd one just blowing many fans away. The 4Th one on the other hand looks like it will suffer from the worn out look of no location syndrome that has been plaguing the last few Full Moon features.

Never the less Trent Haaga is back and he plays one hell of a clown. Watch for Killjoy Goes to Hell later this fall.
