Terrifying monsters from a lost age!

On the Last Day of Creepmas, the Krampus gave to me Mole People on Svengoolie

The Mole People

Director:
Virgil W. Vogel

Writer:
László Görög

Stars:
John Agar

Hugh Beaumont

On an archeological dig in Asia, Dr. Roger Bentley find a cuneiform tablet referring to an ancient society, the shadow dynasty, that was destroyed. An earthquake soon after reveals an ancient artifact and the scientists discover the ruins of an ancient temple world on a remote mountain site. It leads them to an underground world, lost in time and where people have adapted to low light. The High Priest Elinu doesn't welcome the presence of the new arrivals and wants them eliminated.

I remember having high hopes for The Mole People when it aired earlier on Sven and ending up kind of disappointed. The world of Mole People and the Mole's themselves were really cool, but I was not impressed. But in the spirit of Creepmas. I will tune in anyway!

“Mole People” will surface on MeTV tonight at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 pm central time- remember, if you’re unsure when and where to find us, just go to www.metvnetwork.com- and check your schedule there- or click on “where to watch” and enter your zip code to find the channel in your area. Chicago viewers get one more visit to the “House of Frankenstein” on our sister station, WCIU, the U, this morning at 11 am.

Let me know if you tuned in tonight and how you felt about the Mole People.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Troma Entertainment!

On the 11th day of Creepmas, the Krampus gave to me Toxic energy.

CAUTION NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR KIDS

From Troma:

Grinch, take a hike to Who-Ville!! Charlie Brown go make some Peanuts-Butter! This year Troma Entertainment presents a Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, holiday, Seasonal-Special that will delight men, women, and children of all ages. “A Very Troma Christmas” will drop this evening at 8 pm on the Troma Movies YouTube channel, it was announced today by Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment, Inc. and creator of The Toxic Avenger. “A Very Troma Christmas” stars the Toxic Avenger playing Santa and features the Tooth Fairy, Mother Teresa, Buddha, and Abraham Lincoln playing themselves.

With Troma’s longstanding themes of social satire and artistic revolution through media disruption, I could not wait to sink my teeth into this one! Toxic has to be one of the first Horror movies that I had ever seen and I have been a fan from that day on! So when I caught wind about this special a few days ago I could not wait to sit down and watch. I have to warn you this is full of potty-mouth humor so you have been warned.

Evil never tasted so good!

That Old Bitter Miser Scrooge

On the Ninth day of Creepmas, The Krampus gave to me a Scrooge on TV

A Christmas Carol
1971| Color | 28 Min | 1.33:1 | G | Mono | Holiday | Richard Williams Productions

Director: Richard Williams

Writer: Charles Dickens

Stars:
Alastair Sim
Michael Redgrave
Michael Hordern

An old bitter miser is given a chance for redemption when he is haunted by ghosts on Christmas Eve.

For the past few years, I find myself tracking down a version of the Christmas Carol that I have not already seen. Why you ask, well every Christmas as a child the one thing my mom would ask to do on Christmas was to watch A Christmas Carol. We would all moan and grown when it came on and then would turn back to our Christmas haul and play away. It was not until I was older when I finally understood the power of this story. It is by far the best ghost story around. And now I find myself  holding up her tradition with a little node to Bah Humbug every year.

This year I found myself captivated by this 1971 animated short that came out of Londen. This was the first animated TV special that was so well received that they released it into theaters. In return it became eligible for an oscar nomination and won in 1972. This is the only version of "A Christmas Carol" to will an Oscar even to this day.  In fact, so many industry insiders were unhappy that a short originally shown on television was given the award, that the Academy changed its policy, disqualifying any future works initially shown on television.

What a killer poster that is right? And scream queen Adrienne King too! How could we go wrong with this 2013 remake of 1972's Silent Night Bloody Night? The only way to be wronged is to watch this big pile of fruit cake! That poster art will fool the best of us and I'm here to save you!!

A CHAMBER OF Horror!

Dr. Niemann regales his hunchbacked cellmate, Daniel, with tales of how he had nearly put the brain of a human into a dog. This gives Daniel hope. If brain switches are possible, that would mean his own brain could be removed to a better home than the misshapen body he's now trapped in. A thunderstorm destroys their prison, and they escape to find refuge in the company of a traveling carnival.

The carnival owner has possession of the skeleton of Count Dracula, who can be revived by removing the wooden stake from the area of his heart. Niemann has the hunchback kill the owner, and then resurrects Dracula to kill those who had sent him to prison. But Dracula has other plans. Later, Niemann and the hunchback encounter a gypsy caravan where Daniel falls in love with a beautiful gypsy girl. She travels with them to Frankenstein's ruined castle, where they find Frankenstein's monster and the Wolf Man frozen in ice. Niemann thaws them out, finding the Monster fairly inert and the Wolf Man changed back to the tormented Larry Talbot. To Daniel's misery, the gypsy girl falls in love with Talbot, unaware of his lupine alter ego. Meanwhile, Niemann promises both the hunchback and Talbot new bodies. But as usual, the bad doctor cannot be trusted.

Horror Comes Home for the Holidays

On the fourth day of Creepmas, The Krampus gave to me...one short family movie.

When the naughty kids of a suburb begin to vanish in the weeks leading to Christmas, all evidence points to the creature's existence. In this follow-up to "The Night Shift", it's up to supernatural investigators Rue Morgan, Claire Rennfield, and skeletal sidekick Herbie West to solve the mystery, save the children, and face-off against the deadly Krampus.

Director and writer Thomas Smith bring's his reoccurring charters back for this short film wrapped around the Krampus. The main character Rue Morgan started his journey in the full-length feature The Night Shift from 2011 along with his sidekick Herb a talking skeleton. But never fear Claire comes along in Night of the Krampus to lightly fill you in on why they are bound to a cemetery.

Oi to the world!

On the third day of Creepmas, the Krampus gave to me a Gothic Scream Queen!

Whom better to spend Creepmas with than the princess of darkness herself, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4 winner Sharon Needles?

For Gothic scream queen's holiday video, Miss Needles goes full-on punk, from the big-box-store Black Friday riot that kicks off the clip to the whips-and-chains scenes starring Sharon in naughty-but-nice, Vivienne Westwood-esque couture.

Oi to the world! “Jingle Bells” was never sung with so much balls. Turn this one up!

Saint Nick

On the Second day of Creepmas, the Krampus gave to me...

Everyone else is just CHUM!

In 1999, a team of animal biologists investigating a rash of wildlife killings disappeared in the lonely woods near a small town. Years later, a local resident claims to have killed a prehistoric carnivorous creature living in the snow. Now, someone - or something - is making lunch of the locals. As curiosity-seekers and cryptozoologists descend on the small town, drawn by the legend of the Snow Shark, Mike - sole survivor of an earlier attack - leads an armed and dangerous posse into a deadly battle.

Get ready for Snow Shark

Actor, Writer, and Director Sam Qualiana bring's his 2004 short film full circle into a full-length blood soaked shark tale to life. Shot on a shoestring budget of $7,000 and a lot of help from his friends they set out into the cold to shoot their story. You don't want to be on his list.

Ok I know I'm one of those that hates when Christmas creeps in on Halloween but there are many of us that have enjoyed Krampus for many years now and he shows up quite a bit during our Creepmas blog hop. So I just had to share this trailer for the movie coming out December 4th. There have been a few low-end movies on the subject but with Universal getting involved this one looks pretty dang amazing! It comes from Michael Dougherty you know that guy that gave us Trick R Treat! Check out the trailer and let me know your thoughts.

Here is the Story:
When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family's home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.
