Zombie Yule Log

Warm up the Roku as a new Creepmas channel has landed. Zombie Yule Log is not your traditional Yule Log. This yule log features zombies, fire, machine guns, explosions, and kids roasting marshmallows over a burning skull in a garbage can - and that's only the first 2 minutes of the nearly hour-long video. Fast forwarding through the video yields a more traditional scenario - at least there is Christmas music playing while a skull burns in a trash can, planes drop bombs and zombies shuffle by. The video lasts for nearly an hour and is a mix of live action and animation while a Christmas music plays with sirens and detonating bombs sounding in the background.

IF you do not have a Roku you can still enjoy it over on YouTube! Ahhhh I feel warmer already.

As we close in on the 13th day I wanted to take a moment to spotlight a few Creepmas style movies for you. First up a movie I have not yet seen myself but looks truly amazing.

Melancholy Fantastic

A strange and gripping holiday tale of grief, love, and the horrors of loneliness.

The Melancholy Fantastic is a upcoming American independent film written and directed by A.D. Calvo. Still suffering from her mother's recent suicide, a delusional young girl falls for an alluring Goth, against the objections of a life-size talking doll. The Melancholy Fantastic is a psychological thriller set during the holidays. The film takes place during the Christmas holiday and weaves various existential themes into the story. The title of the screenplay was inspired by Søren Kierkegaard's The Sickness Unto Death. In the film, one of the central characters, a Danish Goth named Dukken, paraphrases from Søren Kierkegaard's book and Friedrich Nietzsche's Parable of the Madman. Central elements of the narrative also involve the opening and closing text from Albert Camus' The Stranger (novel). The film features a life-size talking muslin doll named Mor and was filmed in Wallingford, Connecticut and Monroe, Connecticut. The Melancholy Fantastic features an original end credit song called Envy by Digital Daggers.

According to the Roku channel OV Guide, this is currently available for free to watch! I just added the channel so if it is there I will be sure to let you know soon. I need to find this movie looks so f'n good. Here is the trailer just to prove it!!

What a great night to settle in warm up the wassail and enjoy Weird Woman on Svengoolie. This one is new to me so looking forward to checking it out. Also, tonight see highlights from the 2014 Museum of Broadcast Communications event honoring Sven! Check your local listings for times in your area.

South Park Christmas Album

To me, nothing says Creepmas is here like the South Park Christmas Album! Loaded full of great songs like "Merry F**king Christmas" - Mr. Garrison, "Christmas Time in Hell" - Satan, "O Tannenbaum" - Adolf Hitler, and of course my personal favorite "Swiss Colony Beef Log" - Eric Cartman! I listen to this bad boy every year it keeps the spirit lite and fresh. Make sure you give it a listen while you are surfing the other Creepmas post's today.

Director William Castle originally offered the role of Irene Trent to Joan Crawford (an old friend of Stanwyck's) who declined as she was already committed to appearing in Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964). Night Walker will also go on to be Barbara Stanwyck's last feature film.

Celebrate Christmas with this rare footage from Judy's acclaimed 1963 CBS-TV series, with special guests Mel Torme, Jack Jones, and Liza Minnelli. Judy performs "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "The Christmas Song", "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", and other favorites. It was originally created because after President John F. Kennedy's death, and America was feeling sad, she felt that there needed to be some Christmas spirit. That's why she started with "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
