Phooey! Marvin gets canned.

Director Alex Zamm has posted test footage from the in-development Hong Kong Phooey picture and nixed Marvin the Martian movie. Marvin looks like it would be fun. Phooey well not sure I could sit through this one. Speculation of the leaked test footage is that both are dead in the water. Watch for Zamm's The Little Rascals CGI later next year.

Night of the Krampus Teaser

Fighting Owl Films has released a teaser for their up coming film Night of the Krampus. Here is the official synopsis from the web site.

The holiday-themed short film delves into the mythology of Krampus, a legendary creature said to travel with Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. While Santa rewards the good girls and boys of the world, Krampus punishes the naughty. But that’s just a myth…or is it? When the naughty kids of a suburban neighborhood begin vanishing in the weeks leading up to Christmas, all evidence points to the creature's existence. It’s up to supernatural investigators Rue Morgan, Claire Rennfield and Herbie West to solve the mystery, save the children and face-off against the deadly Krampus.

Rue, Claire and Herb were featured characters in The Night Shift. Night of the Krampus serves as their exciting new adventure!

Firefly and mayhem erupts. To make matters worse, the neighboring state sends inept spies Chicolini and Pinky to obtain top secret information, creating even more chaos!

Did you know that Premiere voted this movie as one of "The 50 Greatest Comedies Of All Time" in 2006. And in in 2007, the American Film Institute ranked this as the #60 Greatest Movie of All Time.
Although this is usually considered the finest film The Marx Brothers ever made, it was not a hit when first released. In fact, the film performed so poorly at the box office that Paramount, then in serious financial straits, terminated its contract with The M…

They exit the ship and witness "hideous creatures", which are actually costumed celebrants, and conclude that they have landed on Mars.

Strother Martin

Heather Menzies-Urich

David, a college student, is looking for a job. He is hired by Dr. Stoner as a lab assistant for his research and experiments on snakes. David also begins to fall for Stoner's young daughter, Kristina. However, the good doctor has secretly brewed up a serum that can transform any man into a King Cobra snake-and he plans to use it on David.

Two quick trivia: All the poisonous snakes featured were authentic and the cast actually did have to interact with them for filming. Only in the shot where Strother Martin grabs the King Cobra's head during the show was a puppet snake used.

This film was released by Universal as a double feature with The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, making the program one of the last double bills released by the studio.

Presented without commercial interruptions, this "United Nations Special" was sponsored by the Xerox Corporation, the first of a series of Xerox specials promoting the UN. Lone Ranger Trailer

The Lone Ranger (2013)

Director: Gore Verbinski
Writers: Justin Haythe
Johnny Depp
Armie Hammer  Tom Wilkinson
Native American spirit warrior Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice. I'm a huge Lone Ranger fan. It played a major role in my life growing up. So when Disney announced plans to make a big screen feature I was pretty exited. Then the preview hit the internet and now I clamor for the 1980's version instead. Take a look let me know if I'm wrong. Sure hope I'm wrong.

The Christmas Carol
1949 | B&W | 25 Minutes | 1:33:1 | G | Holiday | Mono | Teletec

Director: Arthur Pierson

Writers: Charles Dickens

Vincent Price
Taylor Holmes
Patrick Whyte

On the Last day of Creepmas The Master of Horror gave to me the best Christmas Ghost story. Vincent Price hosts this short TV adaptation of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" Staring Taylor Holmes as Ebeneezer Scrooge. Patrick White as Bob Cratchit and Earl Lee as the Ghost of Jacob Marley.

This is believed to be Price's first TV appearance. I was lucky enough to spot this little gem for a dollar on black Friday at Target. Could not wait to give this disc a spin. I was pleasantly surprised with this short film. It was a simple and to the point a cliff note version if you will. Very well paced and acted. Price as always was very fantastic. He played the role straight with a smile yet creepy in the way he narrated this beloved ghost story.

Marley was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt w…

In the Arizona desert, Professor Gerald Deemer is experimenting with growth hormones in the hopes of finding a way to increase the world's food supply. His partner in the project was recently found dead in the desert, suffering from a disease that normally takes years to advance but in his case seems to have afflicted him in only a few days. The local doctor, Matt Hastings, is puzzled by the strange case and with Deemer's recently arrived - and very pretty - assistant Stephanie Clayton tries to figure out what is going on. When cattle remains are found in the countryside, the evidence points to a giant tarantula as the culprit.
For the tarantula an actual live spider was used. Blast's from air jets were used to make it move in the desired way over a miniature landscape. In the movie Prof Deeme…

Creepy Kofy For Creepmas

Horror hosts from California are No Name, a local radio personality, and Balrok, a demon, who claim to broadcast from caves under the KOFY studios. They have a snarky frat-boy style and have had many off-color guests, including frequent guest adult film actress Annie Cruz. The broadcast features in-house band the Deadlies, a surf/punk band and the hosts are often flanked during the broadcast by a variety of bikini clad models/actresses/fans. As of the third season, the show added two regular go-go dancers known as the Cave Girls whom often perform with the Deadlies. Being a fan of Horror Host's I sure with you this fine Creepmas Day "Don't Open Till Christmas". Originally aired 12/24/1211

Day Of The Dead and Christmas Poop

Creepy Christmas Traditions.

Christmas Dinner For Zombies In Portugal the dead are respected at Christmas and extra places are even laid out for the dead as Christmas dinner, the plates are also filled as a gift to the dead and they believe that by welcoming these souls that their own new year will be happy and blessed.

In Greece to guard against evil spirits called Kallikantzaroi that live deep underground, some traditional families will hang a pig jaw inside the chimney to keep the evil spirits from descending into their homes.

The Caganer

Look at the traditional nativity display of homes around Catalonia, Spain and you might find a strange and somewhat out of place character in the middle of all the familiar figures. The Caganer, a statuette of a man in the act of defacation, is a controversial yet traditional piece featured in most families’ nativity scenes!

In and around Spain, a nativity display is usually set in a traditional Catalan farmhouse called masia, the scene in…
