Monster University

I have not done any Disney news in awhile but this trailer is fantastic. We already planed on seeing this movie June 21st and I think after you watch the trailer you might too.

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike's plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, "Sulley" (John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair's out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University's elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Here is a little bit more on Monster University from the park. First Disney announced that dureing Memoreial Day they will stay open 24 hours on May 24th. T…

Pacific Rim trailer From Wondercon

I know this is one of those must see summer block busters. But I'm still not sure I'm hooked. In fact I don't think this looks good at all. Just another summer flop is my guess.

Spoon! Music Monday

So in Honor of Free Comic Book Day this week here is the opening theme to one of my favorite comics The Tick!

The most terrifying film you will ever experience.

Evil Dead
2013 | Color | 91 Min | 2.35:1 | Stereo | Horror | Sony
Director: Fede Alvarez

Writers: Fede Alvarez
Stars:  Jane Levy Shiloh Fernandez Lou Taylor Pucci
Five friends head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods. The evil presence possesses them until only one is left to fight for survival.

I can't say anything that has not been said already. Just like every body else I groaned when I heard they where remaking a classic. After seeing the movie I have no idea why I was so worried. The movie is a blast from the beginning to the end. The cast was likable the gore was over the top and the score was mesmerising.
This is one movie I could see again in the theatre. Way to go Fede Alvarez!

Racists, beware! Ooga Booga

Ooga Booga!

Charles Band

Kent Roudebush

George Ouzounian
Ooga Booga follows an innocent African American boy who is brutally murdered by dirty cops, but his soul is magically transferred into an action figure named Ooga Booga. With on his tribal spear and old girlfriend to help he takes to the streets and trailer parks to find the men that ended his once bright future.

Well not sure how to start reviewing this movie but here it goes. The flick opens with Hambo as a returning character from Zombies Vs Strippers. The whole reason for this scene is to sell you new merchandise. Yeah it kind of sets you up for the kid's sole going into the doll but nothing more. In fact its anti climatic. Chucky at least had a point. This is the slowest part of the movie thank god.

So after being shot by the raciest cop, Devon is now trapped in a doll…

Evil Dead Soundtrack

For me one of the best things about the new Evil Dead was is wonderful soundtrack. The score just sits in the back round drawing you in and smacking you in the face at all the right times. One of the best scores I have heard in a real long time. Worth the 9.90 price tag in ITunes. Or wait until May 6 for the CD that will contain more music.

The Invisible Woman
1940 | B&W | 72 Min | 1.37:1 | Mono | Comedy | Universal

A. Edward Sutherland

Writers:  Curt Siodmak

Stars:  Virginia Bruce  John Barrymore John Howard
Eccentric Professor Gibbs, brilliant but impractical, invents an invisibility machine and advertises for a guinea pig. What he gets is Kitty Carroll, an attractive, adventurous model, who thinks being invisible would help her settle a few scores. Complications arise when three comic gangsters steal the machine to use on their boss. But they fail to reckon with the Revenge of the Invisible Woman!
Great news for tonight's show. Sven will be back in action. Sure he is starting slow and only filming new mail segments. This is fantastic news as Rich continues to fight on. Also if your heading to C2E2 Sven will be making his first public appearance Saturday night.
