The abandoned home of Wilfred Butler, a wealthy but troubled man who committed suicide, has been willed to his grandson, Jeffrey. But an Axe wielding maniac has set up residence in the house - and he doesn't take kindly to strangers.

What a killer poster that is right? And scream queen Adrienne King too! How could we go wrong with this 2013 remake of 1972's Silent Night Bloody Night? The only way to be wronged is to watch this big pile of fruit cake! That poster art will fool the best of us and I'm here to save you!!

The writer and Director seem's to have a knack for remaking cult classics as he did Night of The Living Dead in 2012. But the thing that drove me nuts was his work with his production company Mad Science films. See the editing must have been done on a Commodore 64 no, in fact, this was done on an Amiga! I kid you not the simple wipes between scenes are straight out of wedding videos from early 1990!! And at times they used those wipes to frame in and hold a scene. In gods name what where are they thinking?

Shot on location at Bridgend House in Llangeinor, St David's Hospital in Carmarthen, and Crofty in Swansea, South Wales. Adrienne King's role was shot at the Misty Moon Gallery in London. King's voice was used during the movie only you never see her. And they use her for less than 30 seconds and she gets top billing, way to go on tricking your audience Mr. Plumb! In fact, the cast is pretty weak and at times hardly worth looking at. You do not get any sense that they care for this movie at all. In fact death could not come fast enough for them.

The killer's outfit is simple but very effective in many ways and has a high creep factor! In fact, this is the movie's only win and the only reason to check it out. The setting is not bad they used an older looking house to set the mood. And the creepy use of silent night works for a bit but grows old as the movie moves on.

I will give credit to the gore in this movie as there is a ton of it! But the kill's are nothing new and soaked with blood at times for no reason. I'm having such a hard time writing about this movie looking for high points that are not happening. Being a fan of low budget horror I had high hopes for this one. Sadly everything falls really short. If they would have saved money on a big name and put less into the poster art they may have come up with something a little more watchable. I wanted to fast forward to the end but did stick it out for some reason. All though I did check the timecode a handful of times wishing it was over.

Sorry gang don't be fooled by the cool artwork and skip this movie! It is not worth your time this Creepmas. And sadly it made enough cash in the UK that they are working on a sequel. May the Krampus save us all!!! Plumb may you find coal in your stocking!
