 How To Carve Great Faces For Halloween


(Back of the cover reads) Gordy Falk, the Pumpkin Man, has established a cherished Halloween tradition in Wisconsin over the past ten years. Last year his collection of 1000 different, hand-carved pumpkin faces attracted more than 50,000 spectators.



Sadly Falk passed away last year on November 16th best known as THE PUMPKIN MAN. Each October, Gordy carved approximately 800 pumpkins. What began as a favor to carve pumpkins for friends in Whitefish Bay at Halloween parties, grew into huge displays at various public venues.

A man with a big heart, he was always ready to make your day with a playful antics sure to cheer you up. All children loved him: he was indeed a Pied Piper!


Back in the hay day of VHS tapes, Gordy made one of his own "How To Carve Great Faces For Halloween" in 1988. Thanks to the power of the internet we can all enjoy his amazing work. This video is sure to put a smile on your face and your pumpkins too.
