I set myself a small goal to watch at least 20 Schoctober or Halloween inspired movies this October. So far so good for this week but next week could look a lot different. Work is going to be nuts and time will be short. Anyway if your interested here is a look at the monsters to invade the Man Cave so far.
October 2nd Halloween at Aunt Ethel's 2019 (Amazon Prime)
Everyone in town knows the story of Old Aunt Ethel. It's said she makes Halloween candy and pumpkin pie out of the kids that trick-or-treat at her house. This Halloween, the neighborhood teens are going to find out the truth.
Ok look this is a very low budget movie with some heart. The story is fun the cinematography is not to bad. Aunt Ethel is a hoot. Now the acting well that slows down the movie. But that should not stop you from checking out this flick. This is right up the alley for teenage boys with plenty of nudity, alcohol, and drugs. The ending was defiantly worth the build-up.
October 2nd Robot Ninja 1989 (Dread Central)
Oct. 4th South Park: The Pandemic Special 2020 (Comedy Central)
October 2nd The Monster of Piedras Blancas 1959 (Amazon Prime)
HE PREYS ON HUMAN FLESH! And sadly puts the viewer to Sleep.
An old lighthouse keeper who lives with his daughter secretly keeps a prehistoric fish-man by feeding it scraps and fish. One day he misses the feeding and all hell breaks loose.
October 7th American Pie Presents Girls' Rules 2020 (Netflix)
I get it, the formula is unchanged and that might be a deterrent for many. I like the comfort food that the American Pie straight to video offers. With Girls Rules, we get a fresh spin on an old tale. We also watch a few Disney Stars grow up right in front of our eyes.
The ending comes as a nice touch giving this entry a little more heart. I enjoyed this slice more than most (or is it moist?)
If your a fan of the pie movies you will find yourself in comfortable territory. If your not a fan maybe this one will be new and fresh for you.
October 7th Don't Fuck in the Woods 2016 (TubiTv)
October 7, 2020, Hubie Halloween 2020 (Netflix)

Interesting. Halloween at Ethel's might get a watch from me late one night as well as Hubie Halloween. I haven't been interested in an Adam Sandler comedy in a long time but this one seems worth a watch.
