While Ryan Reynolds is tearing it up at the box office but his first Super Hero flick still haunt's him. Back in 2011 Warner Bros. released a half-assed attempt with Green Lantern starring Reynolds. The movie was a critical and commercial bomb. With its budget of $200 million the movie needed to break around $300 million to start making a profit. It made $219 million and is trending a whopping 26% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not all is lost tho coming out of this disaster Reynolds met his now-wife Blake Lively on the set.
Now Reynolds is blowing up the domestic and international box office with Deadpool 2, which poked fun at the animated suit he needed to wear in Green Lantern. Two years later, and nearly seven years after the release of Green Lantern, it looks like Warner Bros. doesn’t have any grudges about how it all went down. If anything they seem to be admitting, through humor, that they screwed up big time
