100th YouTube Upload

Wow its so odd to me that today I have posted my 100th video on youtube I did not even realize it when I was doing it. And it was just a leftover video of the marching band halftime show this past weekend. Well if you check it out let me know what you think. It does run a little on the long side at 10 minutes.

Countdown to Halloween 2016!

IT's almost time!! The annual countdown to Halloween!! I think I'm set and ready to go here is a sneak peek...

Screaming Sunday or shall we say streaming! I'm going to dive into the cord cutting world by keeping you up to date on some of the best and or better streaming sites for the season!

How can I not keep up with this tradition? Music Monday is such a staple.

Food Freight Tuesday we all love the PSL craze or do we? Anyway, I will let you know how I feel about some of the Fall's best and worst flavors.

Would you believe I have not seen all of the Halloween flicks? I will be covering those and a few other Halloween-related items this year.

I love retro Halloween ad's, movies, crafts you know the Classics!

I can not go a spooky season without watching a few fright flicks now, can I!

The Man Cave will be celebrating  Svengoolie again on Saturday's another staple here during the Countdown to Halloween.

So there you go can't wait to get started and read what everybody else out there has going on this year.

Your 2016 Fantasy Baseball Champ!

Ok just taking a minute to brag a little! After 7 years and many close but not close enough years I can finally say Champion! And it was a nail-biter week! Check it out....

So there you go after a week draft and a bunch of injured key players (Trevor Story) I can truly say I hobbled into the playoffs. Oh and this is a work league so we get to raze each other every day which leads to the fun.

From Softball to Football

Can you believe Halloween season is less than a week away?! We had a super busy weekend that started Friday when Ella's school went to the state finals for girls softball! They packed in those hot buses for that hour long ride. Me I took the car so I could sit in the AC. I did enough of those bus trips in the heat, lol.

Sadly they lost 8-5 but they put up a fight the whole game and never gave up. Now we did cheat as the temp was well into the 80's and heat really effects Ella's diabetes so she was allowed to come home with me. No surprise she fell asleep pretty fast. I did make a small video over at my YouTube Channel be sure to check it out.  Next up...Football

We made it home in time to eat and change for Lainey to perform at Halftime during the annual Little Kickers shows. This is when they join the High School cheer squad on the field this year they danced to Shake Your Tailfeathers.  Of course like a proud father the video is right here for you

P.S. Lainey is on the 28-yard line with blue shoes.

Unfortanly we are sitting here sick at home binge watching well everything... Oh well, my wife does not know it yet but when she gets home she is in charge I'm off to the Man Cave to watch football!

They lived by eating human bones!

Quite a busy day yesterday. We took full advantage of my day off we hit up the pumpkin patch early just to get some Apple Cider Donuts and Apple Cider Slushies. A little shopping, video games, and then it was off to the car show to check out my brother's car. Finished the night with dinner at the Igloo and a visit with family. Man, I love fall.

I love the song I used for this video it was called The Haunted House Boogie by Happy Williams.

"Big Dan" McCormick is the sole survivor of a bus crash into hydro lines. 5 others were electrocuted. Intrigued by Dan's apparent immunity to electricity, Dr. John Lawrence, distinguished elector-biologist, asks Dan to visit him at his laboratory, where Lawrence's assistant, Dr. Paul Rigas, is secretly conducting experiments to prove his theory that human life can be motivated and controlled by electricity. Rigas persuades Dan to submit to tests, where Dan absorbs increasingly powerful charges until he develops an amazing degree of immunity, and becomes a walking hulk of electricity. Rigas does a final test of pouring a tremendous charge into Dan's body, and Dan becomes superhuman and his body glows. He is also a robot that is controlled by Rigas. When Lawrence tries to stop the experiment, Rigas orders Dan to kill him. Rigas removes the electricity from Dan's body and he becomes a shrunken shell. Despite the efforts of June Meredith, Lawrence's niece, and newspaper reporter Mark Adams to help him, Dan is sentenced to die in the electric chair. But in the death-chamber, he absorbs three shocks which returns him to superhuman status. He escapes and goes after Rigas, after putting on a rubber suit to encase his electric energy. source:IMBD

This Week's Pick-Ups

Nothing too crazy this week but it is all Halloween! Plus this little tree monster in the middle that was only 10 cents and he looked kind of cool. I love Wallace and Gromit so picking this up was a no-brainer. And Scooby Halloween for 20 cents I'm in.

13 Nights of Halloween

Freeform (ABC Family) has put out there 13 Nights of Halloween. I have added it to the schedule up top. Little shocked with no Casper or Spooky Buddies this year! Hope the Disney Channel will air them. I still do not understand the whole Hunger Games thing being Halloween. Any on this list are you looking forward to?

Son of Zorn

I'm just curious if anybody tuned it for the season premiere of Zorn? You know Fox and their offbeat animation colliding with live action show about a Barbarian dad who leaves his war-torn village to go and see his son? It looked interesting but for me fell short. The humor was all on Zorn and how air headed he is if that is how the show plays out than I pass. In its 22 minutes I quickly grew bored of the concept but in all fairness, I will give the show one more shot when it airs again September 25th.

So what did you guys think? Until then I will hold my breath that the Exorcist will be better.

Jazz in the Streets 2016

So for many Pumpkin Spice, everything is the start to fall. In my mind tho it's when we head downtown to catch up with good food, great music, and friend during Jazz In the Streets. This event just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. It was getting hard to find a place to sit or walk around through the massive crowd that kept growing. I did not have much time to video but I did try some new food and beer this year.

Harvest Patch Shandy by Leinenkugel you defiantly could taste the pumpkin spice but sadly it was too much. The flavor became overpowering and hard to finish. It's too bad Leine's, of course, is my favorite beer. Also tried for the first time was Poutine (Fries) only because my wife and kids wanted a bite. They knew more about this than I did but gravy and cheese on fries I'm in! It was not but not sure I would do it again sorry Canada readers, but with that said I'm sure the American version is not as good.

Of course, LaSalle capped the night off with a great firework show, this as well keeps getting bigger and better every year. Enjoy what small video I was able to put together

Original Star Trek Pilot: The Cage

Director: Robert Butler

Writer: Gene Roddenberry

Stars:
Jeffrey Hunter

This is the pilot to the series that would star William Shatner. Only in this version, there is different Captain, Christopher Pike, and with the exception of Mr. Spock, an entirely different crew. Now it begins when the Enterprise receives what appears to be a distress message. But when they get to the planet where the message was sent from, they discover that the supposed survivors were nothing more than illusions created by the inhabitants of the planet, for the purpose of capturing a mate for the one genuine surviving human, and Captain Pike is the lucky winner. While Captain Pike tries to cope with the experiments and tests that the aliens are conducting on him, his crew tries to find a way to rescue him. But the aliens' illusions are too powerful and deceptive (at first).

From Sven:

This is a little bit of a departure from our usual show- but MeTV was given this rare opportunity to show the rejected original pilot in full-color form, in which it has never been aired. Please note that this is a one-time only showing- and, is NOT planned to be repeated for our local Chicago viewers the following Saturday on our sister station, WCIU.

“The Cage” starts at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 central, or check your local listings for channel and time where you are (or , check that at www.metv.com). Our Chicago viewers get a second look at the “Frozen Ghost” (with the premiere version of the “Svengoolie Stomp”) at 11 am on WCIU.

I'm so desperate to see this I asked a co-worker who has an antenna and a VCR to record it for me! If anybody has a way to record this digitally and would like to share a copy with me that would kick butt!

They came. They saw. They scored.

So how did we got here today? Well, after I read that Full Moon was doing a sequel to this movie I decided to check it out. Was it worth it? Well, read on my fellow readers read on...

Farewell To The Summer

Still trying to hone in on my editing skills when it comes to the iPhone. There are some pretty powerful tools that I'm impressed with. Last night we had such beautiful clouds rolling in at dusk so I was out to see what this thing could do. I came away with a small Art piece that I call Farewell To The Summer. Let me know what you think and if you like it please head over to the YouTube channel and give me a thumbs up. Also, let me know what you think in the comments below. I'm still a little rusting from my film and edit days but I just love working with this medium and I'm really impressed with what I can do on an iPhone.

Virgin Hunters 2 Coming this October

Virgin Hunters 2
2016 | Color | Run Time TBD | Sci-Fi | R | Fun Moon

Charles Band slipped one by us this last week. Not so sure anybody knew he was working on a new flick. Coming October 7th the sequel to what many Full Moon Fans call a mega-hit Virgin Hunters. The original sci-fi sex romp came out in 1994 featuring none other than Morgan Fairchild.

Unsatisfied by her LEX 500 sex robot, Mega-Conglomerate overlord and Supreme Commander of the World Alliance, Camella Swales, has banned all forms of sex. The future is a serene and productive place, but no one is getting it on! The government has laced the food with passion suppressants, and the world is full of virgins.

Enter the ALTERRIANS: an erotic race of virgin hunting, sexual predators. They've come to Earth with one thing on their minds, and they won't let a worldwide ban on sex stop them from enjoying their vacation. Teaming up with BETH, their human companion, and nymph in training, the VIRGIN HUNTERS set out on an orgasmic mission of galactic proportions. Will they overcome the tepid masses and teach humanity to lust again?

As a fan, I just hope this does not push back the Ravenwolf Towers serial that was to launch in October for Halloween. That looks way more entertaining than this. Stay tuned more info should start to come out soon.

In the near future, gas is an astronomical $40.00 a gallon, and Archie Andrews (Mike Brune) has definitely had enough. Archie, a nerdy schoolteacher, and vegan with a thing for wheatgrass is determined to find an alternative energy source for his car. While experimenting, Archie cuts himself and discovers that all his car needs is blood. Human blood.

"Blood Car may have been collecting prizes and earning praise for its supposedly wickedly twisted satire but it still seems trashy, B-movie junk." Allan Hunter Daily Express (UK) He is right except for that last part! I love this movie so read on...

Thrift Store Finds

I have not done a pick-ups post in a while even though I have been picking things up all summer. In many ways I have slowed way down on the movies and find myself focusing on video games.

First up were these long boxes by MGM for Westworld And The Treasure Seekers by Cannon. Treasure Seekers is sealed but yet I want to watch it so not sure what I'm going to do with it at this time. The big score here is the Muppet Show VHS I'm pretty sure these are the Halloween Specials as the 3 shows on the tape star Alice Cooper, Vincent Price, and Marty Feldman. I really can not wait to watch this I'm sure you will see a review on it a little closer to October.

It'll turn your blood to ice-water!

HOLIDAYS is an anthology feature film that puts a uniquely dark and original spin on some of the most iconic and beloved holidays of all time. I understand anthology films have been around forever and at times we have been blessed with some hits and of course some misses. When you get 8 directors to take on a Holiday each you are destined to get a mixed bag! And Holidays, well....
