Reclusive Dr. Zorba has died and left his eerie mansion to his penniless nephew Cyrus Zorba and his family. Along with the house, the Zorba family has also inherited the occultist's collection of 12 ghosts, who can only be seen through Zorba's special goggles. The family members, their lives at risk upon the discovery that Dr. Zorba's fortune lies hidden somewhere in the house, receive aid from unexpected quarters as the threat to their lives is revealed.

I can not think of a better way to usher in Halloween weekend than with a William Castle Classic. I could watch this movie over and over again.

  2. I have this one on DVD and it has a pair of ghost glasses similar to the ones handed out to theater goers. One lens is blue, the other red. Castle's gimmick for this one was that if they ghosts were too scary, you could look through one of the colored lenses that would (supposedly) prevent you from seeing them on screen. If you were brave, you could see the ghosts using the other lens.
