It's hard to write anything to bad about this movie. The movie has been lost for 27 years they find a VHS copy and restore it. They did a great job with that but I was not into the story. Acting was great the music was fantastic.

Love this movie. Sure its simple but very well done! I watched this in hopes to catch Trancers 1.5 premiere at Flashback Weekend in August. And Helen Hunt was so F'n HOT in this movie.

Caught this one last night on Starz. I was shocked at how much I liked it. Even my wife sat and watched she seemed to enjoy it more. Kevin James finally made a good movie.

Today I hope to watch the New Texas Chainsaw movie if all goes well. Have a good Sunday everybody.

Herman discovers he's the new lord of Munster Hall in England. The family sails to Britain, where they receive a tepid welcome from Lady Effigy and Freddie Munster, who throws tantrums because he wasn't named Lord Munster. An on-board romance had blossomed between Marilyn and Roger, but on land Marilyn discovers Roger's family holds a longstanding grudge against the Munsters. Herman upholds the family honor in an auto race; he and Grandpa also unlock "the secret of Munster Hall."

Pop up some popcorn and gather the family around for this highly requested classic. TV's first family of fright head to England. And no groans from the kids this one is in Color!

This movie is also when we are introduced to Grandpa's Drag-U-La Hotrod. Cue the Rob Zombie music! A little slow at first but this movie is sure to please.

Released in the US in mid-summer 1966, this film was frequently double-billed with the similarly-themed The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. Also "Munsters, Go Home" is Debbie Watson first and only appearance as Marilyn Munster. And keep your ears open at the end when Herman and Grandpa are shouting for help.
Herman says, "Call Batman," then adds, "Car 54, where are you?" of course Car 54, Where Are You? was the title of a 1961 comedy series that featured both Gwynne and Lewis.

Lord Of Salem Hits the stores this September

Heidi listens, and the bizarre sounds within the grooves immediately trigger flashbacks of the town's violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the "Lords of Salem" returning for revenge on modern-day Salem?

Teaser Tuesday Curse of Chucky

This looks fun! It's nice to see new life in this franchise and a much better looking Chucky. Sad that it is going straight to Blu-Ray would have been fun to watch on the big screen. I guess we will have to wait one more year to see the remake it the multi plex. Watch for this to hit shelves in October.

Reporter Audrey Ames is driving along a highway in Illinois when she is stopped by the military. She then finds out that a small town was destroyed and everyone has seemingly disappeared. She then goes to a lab run by the Department of Agriculture. While she is there she meets the lab's director, Dr. Ed Wainwright. Ed then tells her that strange things have been happening ever since he discovered that a bunch of grasshoppers managed to get into a silo containing a batch of radioactive wheat. They soon discover that the grasshoppers have grown to monstrous proportions and not only are devouring the local vegetation, but have developed a taste for human flesh as well. Now the locusts are marching towards Chicago and the military is threatening to destroy the city with the atom bomb. Can another solution to stop the monsters be found before it is too late?

Things to watch for tonight

During the first locust encounter with the soldiers, a scene of a soldier falling down on one knee and firing his rifle at the locusts is reused a few scenes later.

In one of the pan scenes showing Chicago is deserted...in one of the windows you can see moving traffic.

During the battle for Chicago, whenever a grasshopper appears directly in front of troops, soldiers turn to their right and shoot away from it.

There are no mountains in central Illinois. I know this for a fact I live here.

The same rear projection shot is used three times; watch for a dark car passing in the opposite lane, followed shortly by a white car.

When two teenagers make prank phone calls to strangers, they become the target for terror when they whisper "I Saw What You Did, And I Know Who You Are!" to psychopath Steve Marek who has just murdered his wife. But somebody else knows of the terrible crime that was committed that night, the killer's desperately amorous neighbor Amy Nelson.

Yes a William Castle classic tonight on Sven. Castle best know for his gimmicks only had one for this movie. During its original theatrical release some theaters installed seat-belts so you couldn't be "shocked out of your seat". I guess you could say Joan Crawford was used as a gimmick as well. She was paid $50,000 for a cameo that lead to top billing. She work only 4 days on the movie. This would also be Crawford's last American made film. She would go on to make only two more films. Both films where shot in the UK.

If you have not seen this yet you owe it to yourself. This is on of Castle's better flicks that is hardly ever talked about.

New Midnight Syndicate July 19th

On July 19th, Midnight Syndicate will release it's sixteenth studio album, "Monsters of Legend." This "tribute to the golden age of horror" will feature sweeping symphonic horror instrumental music and sound effects in the signature style the band pioneered. "We want to make you feel like you are a character in one of those classic horror films - that you've entered a world where any one of the iconic ch...aracters from the Universal Horror Films and Hammer Films could be right around the corner," said composer Edward Douglas.

The CD artwork features original images from classic Universal Studios Entertainment horror movies including Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, Werewolf of London, and Dracula. "Listeners will hear the influence of the Universal Monster, Hammer, and Euro Horror films from the 30s through the 70s, not only in the music but in the images the songs conjure," added Gavin Goszka. Although the band promises the new disc will deliver the dark atmosphere haunted attractions, roleplaying gamers, and Halloween enthusiasts expect from them, they feel they've crafted a disc that transcends their favorite time of the year. "As we did on Carnival Arcane, we're always trying to take things up a notch both musically and with the sound design. There is a lot going on in this one. Plenty to pull you in, spark your imagination, and keep hold of you anytime you're looking to visit that mysterious place in your mind's eye."

The CD will be available for pre-order the first week in July. In addition to other new merchandise, Entity Productions Halloween Music will be releasing a special edition 12" vinyl version of the "Monsters of Legend" album, hand-numbered and limited to 250 copies.

Horror Host Sammy Terry dies at 83

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The legendary Bob Carter (Sammy Terry) passed away Monday at the age of 83.

Bob Carter, known to many as Sammy Terry, was a longtime fixture in Indianapolis TV.

From 1962 to 1989, Carter hosted “Shock Theater” and “Nightmare Theater” on WTTV-4. Sammy Terry became a Hoosier icon with his skull cap, heavy makeup and pet spider George, introducing horror movies to late-night audiences.

Carter is a native of Decatur, Ill. He graduated from Millikin University with a degree in radio communications. After earning a master’s degree from Syracuse University, Carter worked as a disc jockey in Fort Wayne before coming to Indianapolis.
According to sammyterrynightmares.com , an open visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Singleton Mortuary on Friday. A private burial is planned for Saturday.

Carter's son has carried on his father's tradition, making appearances as Sammy Terry.
