Post Christmas Trip

Lion King on Broadway

This year for Christmas we decided to take the girls to the Lion King in Chicago. This would be the second time for my wife and I and we always dreamed of taking our kids. So with a limited run, we went for it.

What a great day we sat in the second row so we were nice and close plus we bought the VIP package which meant food before and during the intermission and a private bathroom. The bathroom part was well worth the money of not waiting in the world's longest line. Especially for Ella and the biggest side effect of Diabetes is having to pee all the time! But anyway the VIP was cool.

Would you know tough it has not snowed much this year and, of course, I snowed that day! Traffic coming home was backed up forever. I bought together a small video to capture the moment check it out and thanks for stopping by.

Scottish Vampire Flick 'Night Kaleidoscope' Gets Psychedelic New Trailer

Image
Night Kaleidoscope is the third feature from Award-Winning Director Grant McPhee, and his first foray into the horror genre. Shot in just one week on a shoestring budget, the film punches well above its weight thanks to McPhee's stunning cinematography and bold vision. McPhee started his career as a cinematographer, and it shows. The film is a lush, visceral, visual experience that harks back to the Giallo films of the 70s with its bold colour palette, while creating something fresh and modern with experimental camera techniques. Shot predominantly at night, as the name suggests, Night Kaleidoscope transforms Edinburgh's cobbled backstreets into a dark dreamscape brimming with supernatural menace, where reality fuses with the surreal in a psychedelic haze.

Written by Chris Purnell and Megan P. Gretchen, the film tells the story of Fion (Patrick O'Brien), a cynical psychic investigator who peddles his gift for anyone willing to pay. His abilities depleting, he must take po…

SINderella and the Golden Bra

Director:
Loel Minardi

Writers:  Frank Squires

Stars:
Suzanne Sybele

Sinderella and the Golden Bra, a cardboard storybook fairy tale that plays like one of those K. Gordon Murray children's films shown at kiddie matinees in the 1960s except – and this is significant – this one comes with bare breasts.

Anyway, the king holds a masked ball so that Prince David will stop fantasizing about the woman he dreams about and pick a maiden from the village. Of course, the woman in the Prince's dreams is none other than Derella (French import SUZANNE SYBELE with a thick accent) who's mistreated by her hag stepmother and two ugly stepsisters. But Derella's Fairy Godfather (scary SYDNEY LASSICK, of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, who also does a scene in drag) climbs in her window one evening and gives her a magic gown…

Full Moon's lost gem Spellcaster was only realised on Laser Disc way back in 1992! Does it hold up? Was it really a lost treasure? How about the fact that the name Adam Ant has me excited to watch this bad boy! Well, read on my good follow…

An Elf is left behind by Santa to help rescue the Harper family from a lousy Christmas. The Elf and the family get more than they bargained for, as the kids help the Elf discover his special powers and true identity as a budding superhero.

Boy, I'm in a rut with movies lately.  Why the late entry with a Christmas movie well I bought this years ago and have always wanted to watch it and have always placed it on the back burner. With names like Wee Man and Jeffery Combs, how can one go wrong? This will be Wee Man's only family friendly movie for the Jackass star. And with that being said he was not to bad and almost believable. And as for Combs why the heck did he agree to this movie. He was so awkward in his charter and seemed to try really hard to channel his inner Home Al…

Pie in the face!

Image
We have been digging the new Game Pie In The Face! Even the cousins had fun playing this one. Note that the girls are not as scared as the boys. I have to admit I have been playing some fun retro games as well and that has taken up a ton of my free time. Not to mention South Park The Stick of Truth game that has me addicted! No, really it calls to me in my sleep. And I stink at RPG but I can not put this bad boy down.

Every generation has a story.

Star Wars The Force Awakens

Stars:  Daisy Ridley John Boyega Oscar Isaac
A scavenger (Daisy Ridley) and a renegade stormtrooper (John Boyega) enlist the help of legendary smugglers/freedom fighters Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca to transport a droid carrying information regarding the whereabouts of long lost Jedi Master Luke Skywalker to General Leia Organa of the Resistance before it falls into the hands of Kylo Ren and the First Order.

So let's start the new year off with a bang shall we? For starters, I will not go off on a rant on what was wrong with Star Wars and how I only liked it and did not love it! The movie looks great one of the best-looking films I have seen in age's. The story tho was pretty weak and full of J.J. Abrams fast pace baloney but I'm not going to go there I promise. Rather talk about the experience in a whole…
