I'm going to review this movie a little bit different:
Here are 5 bad things about this film
1) The Set looks more like an Ikea then a Strip Club.
2) The soundtrack -ugh-
3) Stripping - OK I'm no expert on the matter but Demi Moore did a better job acting like a stripper.
4) Hambo - what the hell was this? Oh, wait this is so we can have an action figure someday.
5) Opening Credits- Good God-Man they gave me a headache.
Mom always said If you are going to say something bad about somebody you need to say something nice. So here are5 things 10 things that make this movie good.
1) Alex Nicolaou - for his first film he did a good job. In fact, I hope he does more for Full Moon Features.
2) The girls are easy on the eyes (When they are not stripping)
3) A ton of Zombie and the makeup was top notch.
4) Gore factor! Yes for a full moon movie we get blood and face's being ripped off and gore! About dam time.
5) Circus-Szalweski it was nice of him to get in front of the camera and away from the microphone. He hit his mark as Spider.
6) The death scenes are well executed.
7) Brad Potts!
8) Tools used by the strippers to fight off the Zombies.
9) Going to say it again the Special FX are really not bad for a low budget movie.
10) No out of place full moon toys or merch anywhere!
And I could go on. This movie has a lot going for it. Strong cast, good directing and for every horror man fan out their Zombies and Strippers! Nothing too new on the whole Zombie overkill genera but a fresh take never the less. This is a good weekend movie to grab some bud's some beers sit and settle in for a good time! I would have to say for a $1 rental at the Redbox it is well worth it.

Dracula arrives at Dr. Edelman's office asking for a cure to his vampirism. However, this is a ruse by Dracula to get near Dr. Edelman's beautiful female assistant and turn her into a vampire. Meanwhile, a sincere Lawrence Talbot, AKA the Wolfman, arrives seeking a cure for his lycanthropy. When Dr. Edelman's first attempt fails, Talbot tries to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff but instead finds a network of underground caves where Frankensteins Monster is in stasis. Chaos ensues as the three monsters fight for dominance of each other.
Last of Universal's original FRANKENSTEIN series of seven films, except for 1948'S "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, " shot from September 21-October 25, 1945, released December 7.
This movie was part of the SON OF SHOCK package of 21 titles released to television in 1958, which followed the original SHOCK THEATER release of 52 features one year earlier. Which, of course, lead to the fantastic world of Horror Host's!
Lionel Atwill who played Police Inspector Holtz was terminally ill with cancer during filming and died shortly after the production wrapped.
When the vampire bat is flying, the strings guiding it are visible.
The skeleton of Dr. Niemann in the cave has a highly visible, perfectly even, horizontal seam line running all the way around the top of the head; it is obviously a skeleton model often sold by medical and education supply houses to schools.
Some scenes of the Frankenstein monster use stock footage from Bride of Frankenstein and The Ghost of Frankenstein wherein the differences between Boris Karloff. Lon Chaney Jr. and Glenn Strange in the same role become apparent.

Weezie George is coming home.
The TV world has lost another great today. Sherman Hemsley born February 1,1938 has passed today in El Paso, Texas where he resides when not working. No immediate cause of death has been reported.
The Emmy and Golden Glove nominated actor was 74.
Famous for his role of George Jefferson from 1975-1985. But let us not forget some of his other notable TV shows. Who can forget Dinosaurs, The Love Boat, All in the Family, Amen and of course The Twilight Zone (1985). Hemsley has also entertained us on the big screen In Mr. Nanny or American Pie: Book of Love. And for the Horror fans the comedy/horror classic's Love at First Bite and Ghost Fever.
Catch up Time
So the past few weeks it's been time with the family and clearing off my Tivo. So with the heat index over 100 all summer, I have had some time to catch up. So here are a few quick-hit reviews of the movies that I have watched the past few days.

1973 | PG | Horror | Universal
College student David (Face from the A-Team) is looking for extra cash. So he is hired by Dr. Stoner (Gunsmoke/Bonanza) as a lab assistant for his research and experiments on well duh Snakes. Romance is also in the air for David as he falls for the crazy Doc's foxy daughter Kristina (Logan's Run). Dr. Stoner starts to shot up David with a secretly brewed up serum that can transform any man into a King Cobra!
The cast in this movie works pretty well together and they did use real snakes. But the 1970's look and feel just does not carry over as well. The music was flat and the special effects just ok. The movie does fit in well with the horror host crowd as I was lucky enough to watch Svengoolie rip at this movie which did help make it better.
Ghost Breakers

Despite warnings and death threats Mary Carter (Paulette Goddard) sets off to see her inherited family home. Located on a small island off of Cuba sits the haunted castle. Thankfully before the trip sets sail radio broadcaster Larry Lawrence (Bob Hope) thinks he shoots the mob boss the he is there to talk to. Larry then hides out in Mary's room, stuff's himself into a chest, and now he is fleeing New York. Thank goodness he brings his butler Alex (Willie Best) for comic relief.
Once in the castle here come those eerie ghosts. Then they fight off a menacing Zombie (The Voodoo kind not the Romero Kind) find the key to the treasure. But don't forget about the mafia!
For a 1940's flick, the movie is not too bad. Hope drove me a little batty but the rest of the cast was a good fit. The story starts slow but ends well. The effects not too bad for the period and the music was well blended. Bottom line, not the best Bob Hope movie Goddard lights up the screen I would have to say watch this on a cold rainy day.

2012 Golden Cob Winners
In Franklin, Indiana fans of the misunderstood genre the B movie they celebrate these classics. The Golden Cob has been going on for 5 years. This year's list is a fantastic one. Congratulations to Bill Oberst Jr. for Best rising star. I could not agree more. In fact I believe I said the same thing in my AB Vs Zombies review.
It was also a pleasant surprise to see "Rare Exports" and "Super Shark" on the list. Looks like I need to dig around for Hanna and maybe sit through "Attack the Block". Of course a big congrats to Mr.Lobo on his Horror Host award.

Looks like 20th Century Fox and MGM will be getting a ton of my cash September 11! Can you believe the cover art for Killer Klowns? Jeepers Creepers has to be one of the best modern Monster Movies making it well worth the investment. To save money for the season I may have to skip TCM2 until the dump bins. And one more for you. Hitting shelves at the end of month Young Frankenstein on Blu-Ray. Their is little info on this at this time I will update when I hear more. As of know it looks like a bare bones release.
Young Frankenstein/Robin Hood Men in Tights Double Feature streets July 31st.

The wide screen effect was achieved by essentially splitting the usual film frame horizontally into two smaller frames with a greater width to height ratio. It was inexpensive, but yielded a grainy image, which probably explains why it was seldom used in Hollywood.

Hats off to Charles Band on finally putting together a few audio commentaries. If you have ever met Band or been to his Road Show's you then know he is a great speaker. I can listen to him tell stroys about his movies for days on end. And know I can do so for a half of day anyway.
