YaBba-DabBa-DoO!!!
Nothing beat running home after school to catch up with the modern stone age family. I don't remember watching much tv as a child. The older I got the less I must have watched.
The Flintstones still hold up today. I know that if I sat my girls in front of the tube to watch this I'm pretty sure they would get a kick out it!

Quick Hit Reviews
Life Itself
'Life Itself' recounts the surprising and entertaining life of world-renowned film critic and social commentator Roger Ebert - a story that's by turns personal, wistful, funny, painful, and transcendent. The film explores the impact and legacy of Roger Ebert's life: from his Pulitzer Prize-winning film criticism and his nearly quarter-century run with Gene Siskel on their review show, to becoming one of the country's most influential cultural voices, and finally to Roger's inspiring battles with cancer and the resulting physical disability - how he literally and symbolically put a new face on the disease and continued to be a cultural force despite it.
A crew digs up all of the old Atari 2600 game cartridges of "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" that were tossed into a landfill in the 1980s. Why, just to debung the rumors I guess.

I was truly moved by this film. The inspiration to keep going when life gets you down. I also was shocked at how much an A-Hole he was. If you're looking for a documetry that never loses its audiace you need to check out Life Itself.
So no bloody brains for this movie just a big THUMBS up.
Atari: Game Over
This was a slow and I mean slow burn with some good info about the 80's and the video game movement. Its only an hour long but I found myself struggling at times. The only thing that kept me going was to see if they found the dang games.
Sorry but this only gets

E is for Ernie
I swear growing up in the 70's had to be the greatest time on earth. And nothing brings back fond memories like the show Sesame Street.
I know as a child I had everything Ernie, his sweater, toys, and, of course, the rubber duckie.
He may not have been a hero in the sense that Super Grover was but for me going up he was my hero.

Every once and awhile Asylum seems to do the "Mock-Buster" pretty well. And by the looks of the trailer this seems to be above average for them. Plus what is hotter than fairy tale princess kicking ass? So I'm not going to lie I plan on watching this movie. If anything it will tie me over until Sharknado 3 comes out.
D is for Dastardly, Dick Dastardly

Is there a better villain out there then Dick Dastardly and his pal Muttley?
"Drat, drat and double drat!"
"Triple drat!"
"Curses, foiled again!"
"Muttley, do something!"
Oh, how I can hear his voice in my head. Nothing was better than their antics during Laff-A-Lympics and of course Wacky Racers.

C is for Captin America
I was never allowed to have a fake gun growing up it promoted violence. Yeah that was the seventy's for you Make Love Not War blah blah blah.
As a young child, I had the freedom to run around a small downtown where my dad had his studio. So with that came washing the windows, shoveling snow and sweeping floors for quarters and dimes.
And what was a young 6 to 10-year-old going to do with all that money? You guessed it Comic books and Baseball Cards!
And being in a family that did not talk about war It was up to me to read about it. So flipping through the comic rack at the drug store the Captain caught my eye.I could not grab enough for this guy. I needed more and I needed it fast! I could not wait for the next issue. That love for Captian America has never diminished once and awhile I will pick up and issue just to check in on freedom fighter. As I got older though the Captain started falling in my reading list to another Army hero Sargent Rock! It was the first time I saw blood in a comic.
Thanks Cap for being one of my Hero's!

Prepare For The Ultimate Trip
The Evil Bong 420 Trailer is upon us!! And I have to say holy S#@t this looks good.
I have to say this looks pretty kick ass!
Polish your balls and head to the lanes. Rabbit has escaped the Evil Bong’s World of Weed, and has opened a topless bowling alley. It’s the Grand Opening and the balls are rolling, the boobs are bouncing and the weed is plentiful. When his old friends, Larnell and Sarah Leigh stop by to help him celebrate his wacky new business venture, things are finally looking up for Rabbit, right? Wrong! Evil Bong is hot on Rabbit’s trail. With the help of the murderous Gingerdead Man, they crash the most balls out party of the century. But Gingerdead Man has plans of his own when he learns that the secret to becoming a real man is getting his cookies off.
The Bong is BACK!! And so is everybody else, including Sarah Leigh (Robin Sydney), Larnell (John Patrick Jordan), Rabbit (Sonny Carl Davis), Velicity (Amy Paffrath), Hambo, Gingerdead Man, Ooga Booga and tons of insane surprise guests.
It’s the movie with its mind firmly in the gutter. EVIL BONG 420 has the biggest balls, boobs and bongs you’ll see all year.

B is for Bozo
Oh yes, any excuse to say home and watch Bozo the clown. Talk about a childhood hero everything about the Bozo show was magical.
Again for me it had a lot to do with Cookie. For some odd reason, I favorited the side kick I guess. Always rooting for the Under Dog if you will. I know that a few different cities had Bozo's just like Horror host. It makes you wonder why can't TV just be simple and fun anymore.
And who did not want to be on the Grand Prize Game? I know we sent in our postcards every year in hopes that we could win that bike from home.
And then there is Wizzo to this day I still quote the " Duty...Duty... Duty..." while waving my hand over something that I want to work! If only the VCR came along a bit sooner I would not have missed so much school. Or running home for lunch just to catch what little we could.
What a fun hour of my day, I still love watching Bozo when WGN runs a special every Christmas season. My girls seem unimpressed by my childhood tv I guess if it's not a talking CGI dog then they don't care.

Deep in an inner city hell, a ghastly figure is killing off the bad guys.
A vigilante, or a demon? For the beautiful high school student, JADA, that’s the question that will bring her face to face with the killer clown!
So I have not sat and wrote a review in awhile but the other day I decided to sit and revisit Full Moon's Urban fair Killjoy. Killjoy is an a fun little franchise that gets better with age or should I say sequels. The first thing you notice is the very young and very talented cast. The movie opens with the story of love that can never happen.
Nerd loves girl, girl loves gangster, gangster beats up nerd, nerd summons a killer clown. Yep, that's it and I like it!
One of the best things a low budget movie can have is a cast that fits the story. You really get the sense that they live in this world. Ross blends in thugs with students seamlessly. And its a very good looking cast to boot. And of course with it being a scary movie you get those naked boob's that make it well worth it.
Now after Michael (Kareem J. Grimes from Boyz in the hood) tries to bring back Killjoy that's when the fun begins. The kills are a little week and lead you to believe the $150,000 budget went to the clown make up. In fact, one of the thugs fills Killjoy with 21 rounds of lead from a six-shooter. Oops.

| Smoked like a bad blunt! |
When it comes down to it though Killjoy is not a bad slow burning horror movie. The clown is a great idea and has lead itself to a fantastic franchise that has matured as it goes on. The fist movie is a little week but still very important in the series. If you like clown movies grab some couch and fire up Full Moon Streaming and enjoy... Killjoy that is.
Hey, you punk ass clown I give you...

A is for Aquaman
All right...
All right already I get it nobody likes Aquaman. But I did as a young boy and I still do today! Sure he is one of the lamest characters in the D.C. Universe but here is a why he means so much to me.
Every morning I would get up early like 5:30am early. I never wanted to wake my family so I would watch the kids show hosted by Ray Rayner out of Chicago. Aquaman was the only superhero that was aired during this 2 hour block. I would look forward to the fast seven minutes every day!
He was different I was different and it spoke to me. I loved that he could talk to fish had a sidekick, a girlfriend and, of course, a cool villain. I was hooked in a bad way.
But it quickly gets better. One Saturday morning there he was hanging out with some of the greatest super hero's of them all! Superman, Batman, and Wonderwomen hanging out in the League of Justice. My mind was blown! Thanks to guys like Jeff Johns and Shelden from the Big Bang everybody knows Aquaman today! For the first time in years, I could buy a T-Shirt and merchandise with his face all over it.
If you were ever curious about the guy know is a good time to check him out. The New 52 brought to light the best story arc so far.
So there, you have it, Aquaman was my first and still favorite super hero!
