Sharknado 2
Poster out found at Bloody Disgusting |
When the shark's invade New York who will be there to help Ian Ziering and Tera Reid? Well why not more who's who of the washed up actor fame. Let's add Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Judah Friedlander, and Judd Hirsch. Now let me break down the rumors for you:
Vivvica A. Fox will play Fin’s old high school friend, Skye.
Mark McGrath will play Fin’s brother-in-law.
Kelly Osbourne will play the flight attendant.
Andy Dick will play the police officer.
Judah Friedlander is set to play Brian.
Judd Hirsch plays the taxi driver, naturally right!?!
Sharknado 2 is set to go into production next week. No date as to when SyFy will release the furry on us. My guess is mid summer.

She-Wolf of London
1946 | B&W | 61 Minutes | 1:37:1 | NR | Horror | Mono | Universal Pictures
Director: Jean Yarbrough
Writers: Dwight V. Babcock
Stars:
Don Porter
June Lockhart
Sara Haden
Here are some fun facts about She-Wolf of London. Released on May 17, 1946 as part of a double bill with The Cat Creeps (1946). Universal Pictures, unlike most major studios, lacked a proprietary theater chain and often sold it's B-picture horror/mystery pictures as double bills, making weak pictures more attractive and economical for independent theaters to advertise.
.Was shot between December 8 through the 21st. But cast members June Lockhart and Don Porter had to do several retakes that had them working on Christmas Eve when the movie finally warped in 1945.
Rankin Bass The Thing

Can the kindly nurse and hunky doctor treating her find out her identity before its too late? Meanwhile, thanks to the cursed idol, her driverless car goes on a rampage, causing accident after accident and explosion after explosion, tormenting the local sheriff's department in whatever podunk town this was filmed in (the end credits state "filmed in Los Angeles" but that's true only in the loosest possible definition of the term).

Vampie
In this dark comedy cult flick, Azure St. Clair, a vampiress who's allergic to blood, and her friends, ex-born again Grace and cross-dressing Tippy, run a bakery called the Pie Hole. Its not a mere bakery, its a front for Azure to use her vampie (a vampire pie) to siphon the life force from drunks who stumble in for some post-partying pastries. Little do the drunks know, the vampie they're eating is sucking up a hell of a lot more than the booze they consumed earlier; its sucking up their life essence so Azure gets her nutrients.
Without her vampie, Azure St. Clair will die. If Azure dies, she shoots straight to Hell, since she is technically a descendant of Lillith, not Eve. Azure greatly fears Hell, because she knows that Hell is very real and awaits her soul, which was damned from the moment she was born.
A vicious aristocratic order, the Order of Lillitu, headed by cold-blooded vampires Mammon, Ludmilla, and Julian, steals the vampie to harness its darkest powers to enslave mankind. At the same time, the first American pope, Pope Theodore III, orders the vampie destroyed and Azure whacked. Pope Theodore dispatches Jesuit assassin Father Jack O'Neil to do the whacking. Father Jack, along with his atheist philosopher-quoting chihuahua Van Helsing, leave Rome to hunt Azure and destroy the vampie.
All three worlds collide in this battle for life, salvation, world domination, and ultimately, love. This story takes the audience through the oh-so-wrong trials and high jinks, as all characters scramble to get their hands on the vampie.
Vampie can only be seen on Fullmoonstreaming.com this Valentines day. This will be the first in the new line from Wizard Video. The will also premier Virginia Obscura and Villanelle later this month. With a run time of 83 minutes and staring Ming Ballard , Mickey Faerch , Sophie Larissa , Tom Patrick and directed by Melissa Tracykus.
I know I'm looking forward to this madness. Check in next week for my full review.

Big News From Blue Underground and Full Moon Streaming!
Full Moon Features is proud to announce their most exciting acquisition yet – fifty of cinema’s most obscure and beloved classics from the Blue Underground label will debut on their new subscription-based video streaming service, FullMoonStreaming.com, home to the entire Full Moon Features library.
Blue Underground titles will include VENOM (a beloved thriller about a killer snake starring Klaus Kinski, Susan George, and Oliver Reed), MONDO CANE (the award-winning documentary that launched the whole “Mondo” craze of the Sixties), CONTAMINATION (a gory Italian homage to ALIEN), VIOLENT CITY (the Charles Bronson action classic), DON’T TORTURE A DUCKLING (horror/thriller from Italian godfather of gore Lucio Fulci), THE CHURCH (a haunted church tale from Italian masters of terror Dario Argento and Michele Soavi), and TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD (the first in the series of popular Spanish BLIND DEAD films), amongst many others.
“Full Moon Streaming’s fanbase is growing rapidly, and fans have come to expect the most amazing content imaginable,” explained Full Moon’s Charles Band. “I knew these Blue Underground titles would perfectly satiate that need, as we are the only subscriber-based streaming service to curate the world’s best, kookiest, and most hard-to-find cinema treasures.”
“As the mainstream VOD sites like Netflix, Hulu, and iTunes have turned their backs on classic genre films in favor of TV shows and new theatrical releases, I’m excited my pal Charlie Band has launched Full Moon Streaming to fill that void,” said William Lustig, acclaimed filmmaker and president of Blue Underground. “Now, fans have a streaming site of their own dedicated to grindhouse/drive-in classics presented in uncompromising quality.”

I remeber meeting Isabelle a few years back. I also remeber that it did not go so well. I swear she wanted 30 bucks just to breath her air. So I sure hope this year goes better. She is somebody I enjoy watching. And would love for her to ink my Freddy Vs Jason so we will see.

Tarantula
Director:
Jack Arnold
Writers:
Robert M. Fresco
Stars:
John Agar
Mara Corday
Leo G. Carroll
In the Arizona desert, Professor Gerald Deemer is experimenting with growth hormones in the hopes of finding a way to increase the world's food supply. His partner in the project was recently found dead in the desert, suffering from a disease that normally takes years to advance but in his case seems to have afflicted him in only a few days. The local doctor, Matt Hastings, is puzzled by the strange case and with Deemer's recently arrived - and very pretty - assistant Stephanie Clayton tries to figure out what is going on. When cattle remains are found in the countryside, the evidence points to a giant tarantula as the culprit.
For the tarantula an actual live spider was used. Blast's from air jets were used to make it move in the desired way over a miniature landscape. In the movie Prof Deemer predicts that by the year 2000 the human population will be 3.6 billion in fact it was almost double that. And of course keep your eyes posted for the young Clint Eastwood making his film debut.
“Tarantula” crawls onto your screen on Me-TV tonight at 10 pm eastern and pacific, 9 pm central, and, if you are unsure of what time in your area, please check your local listings. For those of us in the Chicago viewing area, we can get an encore look at the fine Bela Lugosi/ Boris Karloff fright flick “Invisible Ray” on WCIU, the U, at 11 am this morning. That's right now!!
