Michael Myers Hitting The Xbox & PS4 This August

Holy $h#t Balls! Michael Myers in a video game. With the recent release of Friday the 13th: The Game, it seems that bringing back another classic character to gaming is a no-brainer. Developer Behaviour Interactive aims to do just that with the upcoming Dead by Daylight DLC titled “The Halloween Chapter”. “The Halloween Chapter” will be a  DLC and release for consoles in August. Happy Birthday to me!

Gamers will have a chance to play as Michael Myers. The chapter will also include Laurie Strode as a new Survivor and the new map Haddonfield. Check out the cinematic trailer below.

Near the small desert town of Santa Ynez, a mysterious black car runs down two teenagers on bike en route to camp, then it hit-and-runs a hitchhiker with local Amos Clements as the witness. Sheriff Everett puts his men on alert and plants roadblocks in the area to arrest the murderer, but soon he himself falls victim to the car. Sheriff Wade Parent leads the hunt for the vehicle that threatens their town and seems impossible to locate. When his beloved girlfriend, teacher Lauren Humphries, challenges the driver in a cemetery, the car hunts her in her home. Wade realizes he might be dealing with supernatural powers.

Oh yeah, a Sven staple and one of the first horror movies I watched as a child! This film is listed among The 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies Ever Made in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson's book The Official Razzie Movie Guide. So why do we love this movie so much? Is it the Car itself, I mean it is pretty dang cool or is it the unique tone of the car's horn which is the Hadley Ambassador Rectangular Bell-horn by the way. And the horn spells the letter X in Morris code if you ever wondered.

“The Car” appears tonight on MeTV at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 central, or check your local listings (or at www.metv.com) for channel and time in your area. In the Chicago viewing area, WCIU, the U, will give our fans a second look at "The Time of Thier Lives" 11 am. Don’t forget that MeTV invites you to join in the live-Tweeting on Twitter tonight during our program- just use the hashtag #svengoolie and join in the fun- but PLEASE- don’t let that keep you from giving your full attention to The Car! The Ranch
2017 | Color | 30 Min | Comedy | TV-MA | Netflix

Creators:
Jim Patterson
Don Reo

Stars:
Ashton Kutcher
Danny Masterson
Debra Winger
Sam Elliott

The son of a Colorado rancher returns home from a semi-pro football career to run the family business.

Did Kutcher just jump the Shark? Part 3 of what has to be one of my most favorite things on TV just got deep! And I'm not sure where I stand on this.

We pick up after Heather drops the bombshell of being pregnant we quickly get a visit from Abby's parents and it is the last thing Colt needs -- and they all end up at church together on Christmas Eve. I'm not sure what it is this time around is it the pregnant and the tension it brings with Addy? Or is it Rooster not being around as much leaving the over the top sex jokes far and few. There just was not a lot of laugh out loud moments this time around. In fact, some of it felt pushed on you by the laugh track. What is going on here everything I have loved so far has been taking away from me. Even Sam Elliot looks bored at times. I'm not saying the chemistry is gone but after 10 episodes I no longer felt fulfilled. I was no longer waiting for more and more like depressed.

This season we are subjected to pro-life, run away moms, and deportation and that is ok because I really liked the heart and soul of part 3's story line with Colt getting a second job to support the baby and how the family stays together so as a drama the show was great. Unfortanly that is not what I came for I came to laugh my self-silly and feel great walking away from a five-hour investment.

I'm still a fan just not sure if I will continue to tell all my buddies this is the show to watch this time around. I'm invested into the well being of the Benett family just not sure I like the direction we are headed. I guess time will tell or in 6 to 8 months when part 4 happens. In the mean time, I can only give this season a cold...

Breadman

On occasion, you may have heard it said of some wonderful gadget, “This is the greatest invention since sliced bread!” This is intended to be both a compliment and a reference to how revolutionary and world-changing the invention is. It’s worth bearing in mind, though, that while people have been slicing bread for eons, pre-sliced, packaged bread has only been available since 1928, when Otto Frederick Rohwedder introduced the world’s first mechanical bread slicer on July 7th that year.

I don't know if I could imagine life without sliced bread? In 1930 Wonder begins to sell pre-sliced bread and wouldn't you know it the toaster sales skyrocketed two years later!

By 1933, only five years after its introduction, American bakeries were turning out more sliced than unsliced bread. Rohwedder sold his invention to the Micro-Westco Co. of Bettendorf, Iowa, and he became vice-president and sales manager of the Rohwedder Bakery Machine Division of Micro-Westco, Inc. Rohwedder retired to Albion, Michigan in 1951 with his wife Carrie.

So after 89 years think of all those inventions that have been compared to the bread slicer. Like this blog, it sure is the best thing since sliced bread. 😛

Junk!

What a wonderful State I live in!

Here is an idea why don't the politicians take a huge pay cut?

I need to move...

What a Joke!

My Girls

Sometimes google photos will make these random videos and this one takes the cake. I can not believe how much my little girl has grown up and the one thing that has not changed is that smile! I love these girls so much they are the light of my life!

Part Animal. Part Legend. All Woman.

Ah, that fun-loving low-cost DVD maker Mills Creek is bringing us yet another fine gem. The 1984's Sheena Queen of the Jungle series. That's right over 20 hours of Tonya Roberts riding on animals in the jungle.
Sheena's parents are killed while on Safari. She is raised by the mystical witch woman of an African tribe. When her foster mother is framed for the murder of a political leader, Sheena and a newsman, Vic Casey is forced to flee while pursued by the mercenaries hired by the real killer, who hopes to assume power. Sheena's ability to talk to the animals and knowledge of jungle lore give them a chance against the high tech weapons of the mercenaries.

Featuring all 35 episodes from the 2 seasons of the hit syndicated TV series starring Gena Lee Nolin (TV’s Baywatch) and John Allen Nelson (Killer Klowns From Outer Space and TV’s Baywatch)

This DVD collection also includes 5 bonus episodes of the 1950s TV series starring Irish McCalla. I know that Alpha DVD has put out the full series years ago, still, I'm looking forward to watching McCalla's version just as much.

The Sheena box set streets August 15th.

The movie was nominated for five Golden Raspberry Awards at the 5th annual ceremony held in 1985. The nominations included Worst Picture, Worst Director (John Guillermin), Worst Actress (Tanya Roberts), Worst Screenplay and Worst Musical Score, but the film failed to win a Razzie in any category. That alone makes it worth picking up!

I will admit it I do not remember this show at all does anybody? I would love to hear if this is worth checking out.

More On 34 2017

It's that time of the year again to hit the trails looking for treasures! More on 34 was an idea conceived in Kewanee Il and has grown into a wonderful weekend event. More on 34 stretches over 100 miles on US Route 34. The event takes place every year on father’s day weekend (Friday and Saturday). This year we only had a few hours before we had to turn back but we made the best of our time.

As the story of my life goes we live smack dab in the middle so every year we have to pick a direction starting in Mendota which is 15 minutes north of us. So we started off head 20 miles over to Earlville and backtracked to Mendota. Sadly on like other years, Earlville was not very good to me. My daughter sure she found a few bits of Barbie clothes straight out of the 80's. And as we traveled through Mendota I still did not find much and I was ready to call it a day when I remembered a school was having a rummage sale. And finally, I struck gold. I found 7 PlayStation 2 games at .50 cents a pop! And we both found a few books along with a Gumball DVD that I was told we must own 😄 Hey spending a day on the road with my youngest was well worth it.

After such an awesome haul I was reenergized to move forward hitting one more small town before heading home. Scored a few movies Quarantine that I ended up having already, Tommyknockers and This is Spinal Tap. The big win for me was in that town the Call Of Duty limited edition steel book set for a cool $5.

I'm not one for first person shooters but man this will look good in the Man Cave! I do plan on playing it soon. So, in the end, I spent $15 bucks on more junk that I do not need but man it was fun! Every year I try to ask off for the whole weekend so that someday I can take this journey from start to finish It's just a hard weekend to get off, Someday though it will happen.

As you can see we ran into what has to be one of the coolest Little Free Library's that we have seen. And for some reason, my kid was into finding stuffed animals this year. I only let her pick up a few that well looked clean.

Put Your Hands Up! #TBT

I know I know 40 years ago today Star Wars came out but how many of you remember 31 years ago today when we all went outside for 15 minutes and held hands creating a human chain across America? Wait what you do not remember Hands Across America??

Hands Across America was a national event that benefited the USA for hunger and local homeless charities. At 3 PM Eastern time on May 25, 1986—30 years ago today—6.5 million people held hands in a (sort of) continuous line from coast to coast.

An estimated 7 million Americans participated in “Hands Across America” to raise money for the nation’s hungry and homeless at $10 bucks a pop just to say you were part of History. Thanks to my grandma I was part of that history! We closed down a major highway in town to join hands but I also remember how it was not one long line. I mean come on we live in the middle of farm country that is a lot of open roads.

Yet somehow we did make history it has been reported that the longest unbroken section of the chain was allegedly in Illinois! Even thou that was more down south we will take!

In order to allow the maximum number of people to participate, the path linked major cities and meandered back and forth within the cities. Just as there were sections where the "line" was six to ten people deep, there were also undoubtedly many breaks in the chain. However, enough people participated that if an average of all the participants had been taken and spread evenly along the route standing four feet (1.2 m) apart, an unbroken chain across the 48 contiguous states would have been able to be formed.

Hands Across America raised $34 million. According to the New York Times, only about $15 million was distributed after deducting operating costs.

So who remembers doing this? Did you do it? Let me know in the comments below now if you will please excuse me I need to go watch Star Wars.

WOW! Chris Cornell

Music bid farewell to one of its most distinctive voices this week, with the tragic news on the passing of Chris Cornell.

Cornell had been on tour when he died Wednesday night at 52, emblematic  of his prolific career with Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and on his solo work. Although I was not the biggest fan of the grunge era that Cornell and Soundgarden helped define, his death is a painful loss.

Hunger Strike from the sole album release from Cornell's short-lived band Temple of the Dog contained a duet with a fellow grunge icon, Pearl Jam's Vedder. Its sad to think Vedder is the last of the Seattle grunge scene front men. I love this song and it is by far my favorite of the era.

May you find peace Chris!

On this Day in History

On this day 1986 Run-DMC burst onto MTV with a new sound that even this hard core rock guy was into! If it was not for these guys I may have never listened to any kind of rap in the 80's you know before rap got ugly!

The hip-hop group releases its third album, which includes a collaboration with Aerosmith on a new version of the band's hit 'Walk This Way.' 'Raising Hell' will expand rap's popularity to MTV and a broader audience, selling more than 3 million copies

But for me one of my all time fav's from Run DMC has to be Mary Mary!
