Ivan is a 400-pound silverback gorilla who shares a communal habitat in a suburban shopping mall with Stella the elephant, Bob the dog, and vario us other animals. He has few memories of the jungle where he was captured, but when a baby elephant named Ruby arrives, it touches something deep within him. Ruby is recently separated from her family in the wild, which causes him to question his life, where he comes from and where he ultimately wants to be. The heartwarming adventure, which comes to the screen in an impressive hybrid of live-action and CGI, is based on Katherine Applegate’s bestselling book, which won numerous awards upon its publication in 2013, including the Newbery Medal.

Here's Chucky
Thankfully the Chucky TV series wrapped up before the coronavirus pandemic shut down sets around the world,! And the killer doll will be making his way to television but not soon enough. Original writer Don Mancini, who has been involved with all of the films in the core series is spearheading the project and has revealed the first teaser for the show online. Confirming the series will premiere in 2021, airing on both SYFY and USA Network.
The new Chucky series is co-developed by Mancini with his series producer David Kirschner and will feature Brad Dourif returning to voice the character.
“With this TV show, our mission has been to preserve the straightforward scariness of the original film or the first couple of films,” said Mancini during an interview “But at the same time, continue on with this ever-expanding tapestry of consistent story that we’ve spun over the course of seven movies and 30-some years. I think fans are really gonna love to see the new characters that we introduce into this realm and just to see how they came off of our classic characters. Not just Chucky, but some of the others that you may be hoping to see."

What did you Watch in May? Well here is my list.
Man Annie Potts is gorgeous! The movie itself is still just ok.
3 out of 5 Stars |
That was fun! If this would have hit the big screen in the early 80s’ it would have been a hit. Deserves its cult status.
During the glory days of VHS, this would have had me hook line and sinker. But know it just does not hold up. All those hot ladies showing up for a fight That never happens. Oh well, I have seen worse I guess.
Still a fun trip down memory lane of the family nights spent around the glowing tube of TV!

Frank Chase as the Deputy was my favorite part but it also leads me to the question where all deputy in the 50s all Barney Fife kind of guys? Even with weak special effects, this was super fun.
This was a neat look into how these fans saved their Drive-In. Unable to purchase a $50,000 digital projector, a group of film fanatics in rural Pennsylvania fight to keep a dying drive-in theater alive by screening only vintage 35mm film prints and working entirely for free.

Music Monday For the Week of July 13th - July 19th.
What I watched in June!
Wow, this was crazy fun to watch and kind of relive my past a little. In fact, after soaking this bad boy in I jammed out to some Anthrax, DRI, and of course Suicidal Tendinitis. Being a young hick from a hick town that wore his hair long I never knew that Glam Metal, Thrash, and Punk all hated each other. Man, I listened to all of it never caring what side of the music spectrum it came from. If you have Amazon Prime and you may have been a fan of this type of music this is a must-see documentary.

I have really enjoyed sitting back and escaping the real world for a bit with these Disney shorts. My kids are amazed to know these played before a big Disney film and it was the only way to see them. In fact, as kids, we could not wait to see which short would be shown. The Band Concert has always been one of my favorites so it was an easy...

I beat you think this is getting 4 stars to don't you? When a jealous Donald Duck tries to sabotage Mickey's magic act, he ends up becoming the victim of many of his magic tricks. In the end, Donald shoots the fireworks from Mickey's flare gun but accidentally causes the entire stage collapse on top of them. Yeah, this was just ok still a fun ride down memory lane.

This film features four different segments, each of which begins with various clips of the Disney artists roaming the country, drawing cartoons of some of the local cultures and scenery. Not sure that the stories hold up with this old Disney special but was happy to click play anyway.
