*A Bramble House Christmas*
2017 | 1 Hr 27 Min | PG | Christmas | Hallmark

Director: Steven R. Monroe

Synopsis:

A vacation to Bramble house feels like a dream for them both. Willa knows that her luck is changing fast and yet she still feels stuck. Can she learn to put herself out there? Discover her dreams? Or will a lie put everyone's happiness at risk?

Holy smokes how is it the director of House of 9, Sasquatch Mountain, and I Spit on Your Grave 1 & 2 bring us one of the best Hallmark Christmas movies that I have ever seen to the small screen? In fact, the past few movies from Steven R Monroe have been Hallmark/Lifetime chick flicks and I'm ok with it. With over 40 movie credits to his name A Bramble House Christmas is a beautiful love letter to lost love. And writer Jamie Pachino has written a pretty little story that in true  Hallmark tradition is predictable but tear worthy.

With a sugary sweet storyline and traditional Hallmark predictably, the story is moved along by a warm cast that matches its equally beautiful backdrop. Even if the trees are clearly painted with fake snow.  You really get nothing new here when it comes to Hallmark so movies like this relie on its cast and crew more so than ever.

It is no secret right off the bat that Bramble House Christmas is lead by an adorable little guy Liam Hughes. The kid is so cute it's like watching maple syrup slowly dripping off of a big stack of hotcakes! He clearly steals the show and due to that alone, I can not wait to see him in Netflix Orginal "Sabrina". Even rough and the tuff guy played by David Hayden-Jones is rock solid allowing you to really see his grinch heart grow three times big during the movie.

But the real heart of the movie comes from its adorable star Autumn Reeser, who was so sweet on screen she even melted my heart. She is perfect in many ways a far cry from her early role on the O.C. She is so sicking cute that I just wanted to cuddle up with her and watch other Hallmark movies. I have even scoured the TV Guide looking for the next airing of Season For Love on the Hallmark Channel that premiered earlier this summer and staring Autumn.

So, in the end, this Hallmark closet Christmas movie junky was moved by Bramble House Christmas. It's the warm fuzzies that you want to see during the holidays with a story that is predictable but the charming cast moves you along draws you into its story and never let's go. I watched this over a week ago and it has still stuck with me all this time (I never write about Hallmark Movies). I can not suggest it enough this is one of those you need to cuddle up to.

November Streaming

Here are your free streaming gems for November

On Vudu.com Throw Momma From The Train. In this black-comedy spin-off of Alfred Hitchcock's STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, a writing student tries to persuade his instructor to 'trade murders'...he will murder the instructor's ex-wife if the instructor will return the favor and kill his demented, domineering mother.

Might not have been a great movie but Still Alice is streaming on Vudu and is a must see. Alice Howland (Julianne Moore), happily married with three grown children, is a renowned linguistics professor who starts to forget words. When she receives a diagnosis of Early-Onset Alzheimer's Disease, Alice and her family find their bonds thoroughly tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking, and inspiring. Also starring Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, Alec Baldwin, and Hunter Parrish. (Click here for my review)

Man TubiTv.com stepped up its free game this month with a ton of crazy hits like this amazing flick from the Full Moon camp! Four people go in search of their missing friend. What they find is Slausen's Lost Oasis, and the mannequin dressed museum and a seemingly abandoned mansion owned by gentle old Mr. Slausen. He agrees to help with their car trouble, but some of the girls decide to look for a working phone inside the house even though Mr. Slausen warned them not too. Hidden within the home is Mr. Slausen's misunderstood mask hidden younger brother. What they learn is that the mannequins seem very much alive, or is there something much more terrifying behind the mask? With a kick-ass soundtrack, good-looking cast and one crazy story Tourist Trap was one the best movies I watched in 2015 check it out here.

Holy cats Prehysteria was just released on Blu-Ray a few months back! This video store staple is a must revisit I know I plan on watching this one soon but watch it for free its a must! Rico, a sleazy museum curator, steals a tribe's sacred dinosaur eggs in the rainforest. Frank is an archeologist and single parent and eeks out a living by selling fossils from his farm to the museum. In a mixup, his kids bring home the eggs and hatch the miniature dinosaurs. Frank is falling in love with Vicki, who works for Rico, and finds his life complicated when the dinosaurs begin trashing his house, and Rico attempts to regain his treasure.

Popcornflix has added a few new movies as well like 2016 hit Don't Hang Up, An evening of some drunken prank calls becomes a nightmare for a pair of teenagers when a mysterious stranger turns their own game against them...with deadly consequences.

Ok, I have never seen this Rondo Hanton Award Winner Chip and Bernies Zomance but have heard a lot about it, and how Tim Conway steals the show! This has moved up my watch list knowing that it is finally around for people to check out. Six zombie hunting teams compete to be known as the world's greatest zombie killers in Chip & Bernie's Zomance. Pre-Apocalypse exterminators, Chip & Bernie, are best friends that have an unorthodox way of killing zombies with their often crazy and hilarious antics. Their friendship is tested as the contest continues and they learn that their friendship is what helps them survive. Co-starring 6-time Emmy winner Tim Conway in a comedy of Apocalyptic proportions. Pasquale Murena's Chip & Bernie's Zomance is full of laughs and adventure, ultimately highlighting just how important the relationship between two best friends can be. This universal theme brings a deeper context to a fun-filled zombie apocalypse movie.

Now this just blows me away Red Christmas just came out last year and is on the top of my Creepmas list for this year and it's now free at Popcornflix this looks to be a ton of fun! It's Christmas in Australia as Diane, played by the Dee Wallace, brings together her estranged family for a chaotic holiday gathering. A 20-year-old decision literally comes back to haunt her when the ghost of Christmas past comes knocking at her door and is invited inside the family estate. Festivities quickly turn blood red, when the stranger is revealed to be Cletus, Diane's aborted fetus, all grown up, very much alive and ready to terrorize his long-lost mother. Diane must face her past and explain the hideous truth that is trying to kill them all, especially to Jerry, her Down Syndrome son before it's too late.

Ok, gang Happy Steaming and let me know if you plan on watching any of these or let me know in the comments what I should be watching for free this month.

Thanksgiving Jam

Ok, gang while you're checking out your favorite blog's today allow me to set the tone with a few odd gems about the forgotten holiday.

Ok, I challenge you to learn this rap by next week!

In Screamarama

Tingler
1959 | 1Hr. 22Min. | NA | Horror | Columbia Pictures

Director: William Castle

Writer: Robb White

Stars:
Vincent Price
Judith Evelyn
Darryl Hickman

Dr. Warren Chapin is a pathologist who regularly conducts autopsies on executed prisoners at the State prison. He has a theory that fear is the result of a creature that inhabits all of us. His theory is that the creature is suppressed by our ability to scream when fear strikes us. He gets a chance to test his theories when he meets Ollie and Martha Higgins, who own and operate a second-run movie theater. Martha is deaf and mute and if she is unable to scream, extreme fear should make the creature, which Chapin has called the Tingler, come to life and grow. Using LSD to induce nightmares, he begins his experiment.

The Tingler is one of my all-time favorite Castle and Price movies! Talk about the cheesy fun that is well acted and silly enough to have fun with it. This film is listed among The 100 Most Amusingly Bad Movies Ever Made in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson's book THE OFFICIAL RAZZIE® MOVIE GUIDE but what the hell does he know. Make sure to catch The Tingler tonight at 8PM | 7C, Saturday, November 10, on MeTV.

Madeline's Halloween and Other Spooky Tales

Madeline's Halloween

Director: Judith Reilly (as Judy Reilly)

Writer: Betty G. Birney

Star: Caroline Chan

When Madeline and the girls go to New York to meet their culturally diverse penpals and celebrate Halloween, Madeline finds some mysterious spider earrings in her trick or treat bag which she traces to Miss Clavel's missing cousin Fifi, a famous radio star.

Five Chilling Adventures, Including:
Madeline s Halloween
Madeline And The Mean, Nasty, Horrible Hats
Madeline And The Mummy
Madeline And The Haunted Castle

Lainey (Short for Madeleine) and I sat down to check out the Classic Madeline And The Spider Lady Inspired by the beloved classic books that introduced us to a delightful 8-year-old girl who lives at a French boarding school run by nun Miss Clavel, who live in an old house in Paris covered with vines, well you get the idea.  Madeline’s Halloween & Other Spooky Tales is full of spirited seasonal fun and thanks to Shout! the main tile looks pretty good it's the other episodes that take you out of it.

The later shorts, however, look like bad VHS dupes, with muddy, faded colors and a soft, soft image. Unfortanly with today's High definition kids are use to crystal clear picture. As Lainey's desire to keep watching slowing faded out I grew rather bored as well. The DVD is still worth it again for its main title Madeline's Halloween just do not expect much after that.

Still, fun to watch with the girls so my final rating...

Boo 2! A Madea Halloween

Boo 2! A Madea Halloween
2017 | PG-13 | 1 Hr 41 Min | Comedy | Lionsgate

Director: Tyler Perry

Writer: Tyler Perry

Stars:
Tyler Perry
Cassi Davis
Patrice Lovely

Synopsis:
Madea, Bam, and Hattie venture to a haunted campground and the group must run for their lives when monsters, goblins, and the boogeyman are unleashed.

Just one year earlier Boo! A Madea Halloween blew me away. It was a laugh a minute good time so does a sequel hold up? The simple answer...NO!

You’re going to Madea’s house to laugh, forget your troubles and perhaps enjoy some good old family value's in its message. And the lesson is still there, in fact, its the base of the story when his freshly turned 18-year-old daughter all of a sudden wants to grow up she turns to the fun parent in the divorce. We all know how that works we see it in our day to day life. But after that, the story really stretches to hold together. At times they would start a joke that would then lingers for what feels like an eternity. And the jokes well they were just not funny this time around.

Despite the lack of humor and weak storyline Boo does look good and comes complete with a good-looking returning cast. And our ears are treated to a much better soundtrack this time around but none of that can glue this one back together. The only saving grace is its young cast as the older cast falls short.

I'm saddened that Boo 2 just did not deliver. I did chuckle at times but for the most part, it was a struggle to get through this flick. And man I gave the first one 4 Bloody Brains out 5. I'm sad to say this one should be skipped.

2 Bloody Brains out of 5

Ugh...

Woke up at 3 AM with that dreaded feeling in my chest. I guess the cold weather is going to bring on the sick days.

The good news tho I can finish my Halloween post's today.
