Jazz in the Streets 2016

So for many Pumpkin Spice, everything is the start to fall. In my mind tho it's when we head downtown to catch up with good food, great music, and friend during Jazz In the Streets. This event just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year. It was getting hard to find a place to sit or walk around through the massive crowd that kept growing. I did not have much time to video but I did try some new food and beer this year.

Harvest Patch Shandy by Leinenkugel you defiantly could taste the pumpkin spice but sadly it was too much. The flavor became overpowering and hard to finish. It's too bad Leine's, of course, is my favorite beer. Also tried for the first time was Poutine (Fries) only because my wife and kids wanted a bite. They knew more about this than I did but gravy and cheese on fries I'm in! It was not but not sure I would do it again sorry Canada readers, but with that said I'm sure the American version is not as good.

Of course, LaSalle capped the night off with a great firework show, this as well keeps getting bigger and better every year. Enjoy what small video I was able to put together

  2. I'm going to do a post on poutine one of these days. I don't mind having it once in a while but it's best not to eat too much of it -- all that artery-clogging cholesterol essentially makes it Death on a Plate.

    1. Is it true that some McDonald's serve this? It was a nice treat but yeah I could only eat it once in a while.

    2. Yes, McDonalds in Canada serve poutine. But I must confess, I've never tried it there.
